An attractive Spanish city



The banks of the beautiful Segura river is the place where you’ll find Murcia, a charming city that became a popular tourist destination for visitors from all the corners of the world. The city is not one of the oldest in Spain, but its centuries of existence were agitated ones. Abd Al Rahman is the Moorish ruler who founded the city in 831, soon transforming it into an important center for the province and the entire country. The city was a very well defended one and visitors can still see remnants of the walls that had 15 meters height and 98 towers, all prepared to protect Murcia from any invasion.

Visitors love to go on guided sightseeing tours, because it is an easy way to learn more about the history of the city; the history lesson you receive from the remaining monuments and buildings is extraordinary, so don’t lose such an experience! The Cathedral, displaying Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance elements is one of the first places where tourists stop; very close to the Cathedral stays the Archiepiscopal Palace, dating back to the 18th century. The Palace is a fine example of luxury and elegance from the 18th century, so offer it some of your attention! Next comes the Real Casino, the magnificent building dating back to the 19th century; the casino is one of the most exquisite examples of modernist architecture in the country. As you can see, Murcia is a very offering and tempting tourist location costa brava destination, with a long list of things to do and places to visit, so consider it for a Spanish holiday! It really deserves your attention!
